Persimmon fruit is an edible fruit. It is also known as the Kali fruit. Persimmon fruit color range varies from light yellow-orange to dark red-orange. They are about 2-9 cam in diameter and the shape of Persimmon fruit is like a spherica
l or a pumpkin. The fruit is easy to eat once it is ripe. They are sweet to taste and rarely found. Persimmon fruit has high content of glucose in it but low in protein content but still it balances the protein level. Persimmon fruits are widely used in medicinal and chemical section. Persimmon fruit slightly look like tomato. There are varieties of persimmon fruits and multiple ways to eat the fruit.

Japanese persimmon is also known as the Hachiya. It is sweet like a candy when it is completely ripe. It can be used in preparing various desserts. Japanese persimmon if eaten before time gives a bitter and unpleasant taste. Japanese persimmon is a sinful delight as one can get addicted to it.
Cinnamon persimmon is orange-yellow in color and can be eaten when it is firm and soft. Cinnamon persimmon is the sub variety of Hachiya. Inside part of persimmon is speckled with cinnamon colored flecks.
Fuyu persimmon has a shape of apple and it is eaten when it ripe, soft and firm. Just like apple it is sweet, crispy and you have to eat the skin and remove the leaves. They are nice orange-red in color and do not oxidized when kept cut for a long time. Fuyu persimmons are used to make pies, cakes, crumbles etc.

Organic sweet pumpkin persimmons are sweeter than Fuyu. It is eaten firm and crispy. Peeling off the skin is optional. Organic sweet pumpkin persimmons are tasty and gorgeous in looking.
HOW TO EAT PERSIMMON FRUITS
- Select a ripe persimmon fruit. This is the right and best time when a persimmon fruit is eaten because before this time the fruit will be bitter in taste. Go for nice orange colored persimmon fruit and if not let it ripe for some time. Make sure the skin of persimmon fruit is soft and transparent.
- Wash the persimmon fruit nicely by using a washing liquid generally used for other vegetables and fruits. Still the fruit for some time till the water flows and then consume it directly or by cutting into pieces.
- Cut the leaves and top portion of persimmon fruit. Peeling of the skin is optional you can or you may leave it. Skin of the fruit is edible. Peeling is basically used for cooking as it is done for tomatoes and berries.
- The flesh of persimmon fruit is used to prepare many desserts like jam, mock tails, marmalade etc. It is also use in smoke salads which makes food tasty and delicious.
Persimmon fruit is a rich and delicious fruit which is used to make many dishes and also as a source of medicine. Though it is a rare fruit but should be consumed by everyone.
